Cupping
HALo Rings
Cupping therapy has been used for centuries in Chinese Medicine (and in other cultures as well) to disperse stagnation (tight muscles, phlegm or even cellulite) and to release pain. Cupping is typically used in conjunction with acupuncture, but it can be used as a stand alone treatment. Made popular by athletes, cupping therapy is most well known for improving recovery from exercise or injury.

Children's Health
Little HALo Effect
Developed in Japan, Shonishin (show-knee-shin), which translates as “small children needle”, is a gentle, non-invasive effective alternative to acupuncture for children ages birth to 10. It is also an excellent treatment method for adults who are very sensitive or suffer from needle phobia. Pediatric acupuncture, like all traditional medicine, is holistic and emphasizes total wellbeing and the ongoing care it takes to maintain it.
Homotoxicology
HALo adjuvant
Homotoxicology is a branch of German Biological Medicine that incorporates homeopathy, herbology, and pharmacology. The use of these remedies are based on the theories of one of the oldest Chinese Medical texts in existence (the Shan Han Lun). This is a 100% natural adjuvant to acupuncture which relies on many of the same principles, but has the added benefit of providing a gentle yet effective form of treatment while outside of the office. Protocols are normally combined with acupuncture therapy and last about 6 weeks in duration before I re-evaluate to determine the next group of remedies needed, if any. These remedies are safe and effective for even the most sensitive patients and bring about profound positive results.

The Polyvagal Theory proposed by Dr. Stephen Porges specifies two functionally distinct branches of the vagus nerve. The more primitive branch elicits immobilization behaviors, whereas the more evolved branch is linked to social communication and self-soothing behaviors. The vagus nerve is implicated in many chronic illnesses including Rhuematoid Arthritis, Diabetes, IBS and Chron's because it is called the wandering nerve and it innervates almost every important organ system in the body.
